1971 Charger with Original 383 Magnum
1971 Charger Restoration - We are very excited to get started on this very rare piece of American Muscle! This 1971 Dodge Charger came to us with the intent of getting it back on the road (after having sat for 20+ years). The owner has a long and very interesting history with this MOPAR Monster, and we are thrilled to be helping him get his Charger back up and running!
The first step for us was to figure out why the center steering link was rubbing on the oil pan. Our biggest fear was that somehow the frame might have gotten tweaked, but after taking time to install two new motor mounts (even though the old ones did not look worn out) we were glad to see the problem go away (see photos below).
UPDATE: The original 727 Transmission has been rebuilt, now we are moving onto the engine.
